Jan 2, 2009    Happy New Year!

A new year, a fresh start, what could be better?? Well, how about something fresh on this webpage?!

A few news worthy items:
1. The website will live on!
2. Registrations continue to grow.
3. An ANNUAL Reunion????

1. HACHS81.com LIVES
This website and the domain name have been renewed for another three years. Yes, we know we are Web 2.0 luddites, but facebook still has me spooked. Plus, nobody else volunteered to take this on and transition it, so you're stuck here in the Web 1.0 timewarp (sorry Tracy!)

Thanks to Ed Cheng and Mike Evans for their financial contributions to the extension. If you'd like to contribute please email Evan (Contact Us)for the address where you can send a cheque.

I'll try to stay a little more current with the site this year. If you have more time or energy than me, just lemme know and we can work out a great transition deal!

2. WE KEEP FINDING GRADS!
Since the reunion in 2007, 23 grads have found us and registered on the page. We've even had a couple of non-grads remember their HACHS experience fondly enough to want their names on the page.

Check out the Registration page to see pics and info or see Grad List for the big list of grads, registered and not. If you haven't yet, please add a photo or two so we can see who you are (or were!)

3. BRIAN KERR'S EXCELLENT REUNION ADVENTURE
Brian has suggested (read "volunteered to manage") an annual get together in Edmonton. Basic concept is described in Messages and more details will be posted in this section. I'll bet Brian would even love someone to help him think this thing through and work on the coordination with him.

Sept 5, 2007

Thanks to Randy Gegolick for suggesting a spot where we can 'chat' about the reunion.

You can now go to the "Messages" page to find a few different message boards. If there's another one you want to see, let me know.

Put down a comment and maybe, just maybe, someone else will ready it. (OK, I'll read it so you don't feel lonely or sad. Just don't talk about my hair!)

Sorry folks - thanks for your hard work!!

3. Here are the final registration and attendance stats from the weekend's events:

+ 158 total registrations (157 people registered before the events, plus Kim Mausch who must have come home from the bar feeling guilty and signed up before the tequila wore off!) ;)

+ 49 people attended the picnic (14 grads plus spouses and kids)

+ As near as I can tell, ~67 grads showed for drinks and about 8 brought a date.

+ 84 people came to Sunday evening's dinner (56 grads and 28 guests).

4. Take a look at the pictures from the events on the Photos page. Please upload any pics you have to the Albums - see page for instructions.
