July 30, 2008
Oooh, I'm a bad web-master! It's been WAY too long since I've written anything here (mind you, nobody else has written anything either and nobody complained, so maybe it's OK?) But I did have quite a wild dream the other night that included pretty much everyone at a very energetic sock-hop (Hi MED!) and we had a new registration tonite, so I'm feeling a bit inspired.
Well, let's see ... - there are quite a few photos from the events last summer. Take a look if you haven't. If you recognize anybody, drop them a line on the registration page. - quite a few new registrations this year. Too late for the parties, but nice to see the new faces. - I'm STILL wondering what has happened Courtney and Sherri after the dinner... hmmm??
There's been some fresh discussion about moving this page to facebook. Some preliminary investigation is underway, but if anyone out there is a FB wizard and has the interest, time and/or technical expertise, contact me and we'll see what's what.
Hope all is well in 2008.

UPDATES AND NEWS December 31, 2007 - Happy New Year!!
Well, 2007 is in the books. All the best to you and yours in 2008!
The reunion committee completed its financial audit and we ended up a little short. The hotel added some un-budgetted costs, which we've decided to absorb among us.
The website will stay up for only one more year, unless someone else would like to contribute $$ to keep it alive. Otherwise, Tracy (Crystal) Annicchiarico has suggested everyone add themselves to facebook.com. Please contact Tracy for details/information. (And ask Tracy to send you the link to download "Web 2.0" while you're at it!)
Unfortunately, we were not able to contribute to the Stollery Children's Hospital as planned, but you may make your own contributions there directly.
The good news is that we're still getting new registrations! We've had about 6 new people join the list after the events in Sept.
As always, if you want to recommend changes or have any problems with the site, let me know.
Thanks for a fun year!

September 3, 2007
Well, it took 16 years to get ready, but in a few short hours (days), it was over. Thanks to everyone for coming to this weekend's events! Seems like a great time was had by all. (Molson Breweries called to thank us too!)
A few things: 1. As Mike Evans announced at the dinner last night, we will be leaving this website online for a year or two for people to get in touch. I'll clean it up over the next few days as I get the time. In the mean time, everything works as it did (but you can't buy tickets any more.)
2. The photo albums are up and available for you to upload your pictures. Click on the little box that says "Upload Your Photos".
3. Have you started thinking about your 50th birthday? Well Margo Fiala (Alldred) has been thinking about it for you! She's thinking we should all get together for a massive bash somewhere - like, maybe LAS VEGAS?! Cool idea - let it settle into your head for a minute. Now, think about volunteering to coordinate it. ('Cause I'm not going to do it!)
4. If you have any other ideas please let us know.

Me?! I have to set up a WHAT?!

If you're new to the site, WELCOME! (Where the heck have you been??)
Here's what you want to know and what you need to do:
1. This is a free site for Ainlay '81 grads. Yup, no cost to you to put your name, pictures and (privacy-protected) contact info online. You can see who else has registered, leave a note, post a picture, or send a message to old friends. Also see who attended the fall 2007 events and check out the latest messages/plans for future events. 2. We used the site to maintain communications with registered grads prior to the September 2007 Reunion (the Reunion Committee can send email updates).
3. To use the site, you must register yourself: a) go to the Registration tab
b) click on ADD YOUR INFO and put in as much info as you're comfortable with. In order to receive email from other grads, you have to supply a VALID email address (and update it if you change to a new one.) 4. To send emails to other grads: a) On the the Registration page, find the name of the person you want to send a message to.* b) Click on "Send This Person a Message" and follow the instructions. c) When/if they respond, it will be directly to the email address you put in (so you may want to be careful what you say in the email if you don't want your employer's firewall to light you up!)
*Note: for ladies, the website automatically files your listing by your MARRIED name, with the maiden name second. Use the Search field to go directly to a maiden name.
5. Please tell your friends who haven't registered yet to get on the bus. Evan, Mike and Natasia
